Letter Work Scheme of Work for Kindergarten (Age 5)
The Letter Work Scheme of Work for Kindergarten spans three terms and is designed to introduce young learners, aged 5, to letters, sounds, and basic reading and writing skills. Each term focuses on different topics and learning objectives, providing a progressive approach to developing foundational literacy skills.
First Term: The first term starts with the topic “Introduction to Letters and Sounds.” The learning objectives include recognizing letters, their names, and sounds. Third Term: In the third term, the topic shifts to “Reading and Writing Short Words.” Pupils expand their vocabulary and learn sight words.
